HR MANAGER SCHEDULES EMPLOYEE GATHERING:
At the monthly staff meeting held on Monday, Sept. 17th, HR Manager Marian C. Delaney proposed the scheduling of a group meeting to bring City employees together as a way of extending sympathy and prayers to everyone during the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Pennsylvania tragedies.
Councilman Balascio has been coordinating with Ms. Delaney on setting a date and time for the meeting. Councilman Balascio has also suggested a group donation to the Red Cross.
Across America, flags are waving and candles glow to show support and unity. The elected officials and employees of the Mayor and Council of New Castle join with all Americans in offering our heartfelt condolences.
In this time of sadness we are discovering the courage, compassion, and unity of our country.
