NEW STREET LIGHTING FOR GRAY
STREET
The Municipal Services Commission and CPR Construction, builders of the new town homes on Gray Street, are working together to install Period Street lighting on Gray Street. These lights and fixtures are similar to those streetlights on Delaware Street. Additionally, all utilities will be buried underground to eliminate unsightly power lines. These additions are expected to enhance the value of these properties and the surrounding area and is another positive community redevelopment strategy underway. The Deemer's Landing Apartment property owners will use the same street lighting on 9th Street and on Washington Streets. For more information on this, please email Chip Patterson at pattersonc@erols.com or 323-2332 or your Council President, Chris Castagno at 322-9801 or email CastagnoCJ@aol.com
GRAY ST. WATER TOWER PAINTING
SCHEDULED
The MSC Commissioners have set a
schedule to paint the interior of
the water tower located on Gray
Street for November 2002. The
Commissioners have also agreed to
remove the fencing surrounding the
tower assisting in the Susi Park
redevelopment plan scheduled for
next spring. The removal of the
fence will allow for a larger park
area especially when combined with
the additional land area to be
donated by the owners of the
Deemer’s Landing property.
Local regulatory and insurance
authorities were consulted before
this decision was made and both
agencies agree that the fence will
not affect security or liability of
the tower or the stored water. For
more information on this, please
email Chip Patterson at pattersonc@erols.com
or 323-2332 or your Council
President, Chris Castagno at
322-9801 or email CastagnoCJ@aol.com
