HAC APPOINTMENT CORRECTION

Last week's CORNER stated that the Mayor had an appointment to make. However, the appointment of Bill Hentkowski of East Second Street was made during the previous administration and the term will expire in 2003. GREENWAYS PUBLIC PRESENTATION SCHEDULED

Mark your calendar!! The Delaware Greenways will present the proposed Greenway project on November 14, 2001 from 6 PM - 9PM, Wednesday at Town Hall, second floor. The maps showing the project will be displayed and Delaware Greenways Asst. Executive Director, and New Castle Resident, Tim Plemmons will be available for questions and input. The immediate goal for this project is to physically link New Castle with the Wilmington Riverfront Park using bike trails. MOORE AVE. TRAFFIC LIGHT STILL COMING

For those of you who have marked your calendar for the installation of the Moore Avenue/Wilmington Road traffic light, we have been assured by the Secretary of Transportation, that it will be a reality. The poles and lights have been ordered but there have been some delays in the shipment. The best information available is that it will be installed in about 8 weeks.
